strutting.

Birmingham Fashion Week was a blast!  Not only did I get to strut down the runway in Oscar de la Renta, but I got an unexpected surprise on the last night of the show, too!  I was pulled out of the models to walk for one of the "emerging designers."  I've never walked in that height heel in my life! But it was fantastic!  I measured up to about 6'3" at least with those monsters on!

I just wanted to share some of my memories from the day!

Here's a video too!  Sorry in advance about the shaking..my mom was in charge of the video.

better late than never...

Hey guys!  Sorry about the delay, but I now have the final product of my February welcome sign!  I've had it up the whole month, but you now how life sometimes gets in the way.  Anyways, check out this awesome job!  If I didn't know any better, I'd say this was professionally done!  My father-in-law was certainly impressed...I wonder what that says about my creativity...We will just chalk it up to the fact that he's a guy ; )

Have a happy weekend!

goosebumps

If you are anything like me, you have to be in the mood for today's "pop" music (if you can even call it that).  I grew up on The EaglesAerosmithHuey Lewis & the News38 SpecialEddie MoneyElton JohnJourneyREO Speedwagon, and the list goes on and on.  So you can imagine now it's a pure treat when I hear Gavin DegrawKelly ClarksonThe Fray or Adele on the radio.

Their sounds are all so beautiful and mesmerizing.  TRUE TALENT!  One of my favorite songs of the year 2011 was Adele's "Rolling in the Deep."  My heart can't help but thump to the beat and every girl loves to sing along like she has the same vocal range as Ms. Adele herself.  It was so amazing to see her perform on the 2012 Grammy's!  What an inspiration to see that she came back so strong and powerful after her laser microsurgery to correct her vocal cord hemorrhage last year.

Grammy 2012 Record of the Year.  Beautiful, talented and hopefully around for the long haul.
Adele.
