Unfortunately, I have some very sad news.  I don't want this blog to be all lollipops and rainbows.  It's about Adam and I.  And we are real people with real emotions that go through real ups and downs.

Tuesday night was one of the worst nights of my life.  My family's beautiful and perfect little Pomeranian passed away.  She was only 2 years old.  I am so grateful that I made it to the vet in time to see her before she passed.  I swear she looked right at me, and as hard as it was to see her lying there, that gave me some peace.

My husband is the sweetest man, and never hesitates in my time of need.  He dropped everything to drive me to the vet and took care of me for the rest of the night.  I don't know what I would do without him.  Honey passed away shortly after we got there.  When we were getting in the car to leave, I was still a complete mess, but Adam said one thing to me that changed everything I was feeling.  "She was waiting for you to get there before she passed on."

I'm still very broken over our family's loss, but we continue to remind ourselves that we have to keep it all in perspective.  It's a terrible tragedy, but at least it wasn't my parents or my sister or myself that had an accident.  We all still have our health, and we have each other.  We will take time to mourn and we won't ever be able to replace Honey.  But maybe one day we can move on and find another sweet little girl that needs a loving family to take her in and care for her like we did for Honey.

Honey, we love you and we'll miss you, always.
